We are a non-denominational Church based in the heart of the city of Plymouth, on the South West coast of England. We are a mixed congregation of European and African backgrounds, we feel that this makes us incredibly blessed as we are enriched by the variation of our cultures and different expressions of worship. We have a great freedom in praise and worship and we give the word of God the highest place in the sanctuary and the results are awesome as we see God enriching our lives in giving us power to live the way that He has designed for us. As a community of believers from all walks of life we exist to serve Christ and our community through fellowships and other activities. All are welcome to join with us in worshiping Jesus Christ!

PASTOR CHARLY KONGOLO

Senior Pastor

Pastor Charly Kongolo is the Senior Pastor and founder of House of Prayer Ministries. He was ordained as a Minister of the word and Pastor in 1996 aged 23. After leading a local church for 2 years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, God led him to come to the UK. In 2010 he founded House of Prayer Ministries along with his wife Joelle Kongolo. Pastor Charly is an inspirational speaker, a mentor, a songwriter, a musician, a singer and a worship leader. He loves God and loves His people. He has dedicated all his life to serving God and seeing people’s lives changed by the power of the word of God. He and his wife Joelle have three beautiful children. Pastor Charly completed a Law degree from the Protestant University of the Congo, and currently pursuing BA Social Work at University of Plymouth, UK.

ALUSCHÉ LATUKA

Worship Minister

Alusché has been involved with the church and the music ministry since aged 10. He grew up serving God in the church. He’s got the heart for worship and seeing God being lifted up through music and the worship of the saints. He is passionate about God and God’s people. He is also a great teacher of God’s word. He leads the church’s music ministry, and leads praise and worship during our services. His dedication has been a source of inspiration to many young people.
